Mr. Stanley Helenschmidt is a California-registered Civil and Geotechnical Engineer with over 35 years of professional experience; specializing in investigation, analysis and mitigation of geotechnical hazards.
Mr. Helenschmidt has experience and has been retained as an expert in cases involving landsliding, soil settlement, expansive soil distress, construction issues and groundwater intrusion.
He was recently responsible for stabilization design of the Soledad Mountain Road Landslide in La Jolla, California which received an “Award of Excellence” from the American Society of Civil Engineers and an award for “Project of the Year” by the American Public Works Association.
Mr. Helenschmidt also routinely serves as a Subject Matter Expert for the State of California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers.

Certified Engineering Geologist (Full-Time position)
The candidate should have at least 10 years geotechnical experience, Bachelor's degree in Engineering Geology, Geology or Geological Engineering (Master's degree preferred). Technical experience in the southern California area is preferred. Candidate should have excellent technical writing skills, and experience in: site characterization; logging of exploratory trenches, small and large diameter boreholes; geologic mapping and development of geologic cross-sections; aerial photograph interpretation; fault studies; client skills; and project management. Candidate should expect to perform a combination of field investigation, construction observation, business development, proposal preparation and technical report preparation.
